This date is dark brown. Its oval and elongated kernel, along with the high degree of adhesion of the kernel to the fruit, is one of the capabilities of this date. This delicious date is a product of Behbahan palm groves and has a thick skin. The color of the kabkab is yellow at first and turns brown when it is fully ripe.

Bam Mazafati dates are one of the most common dates produced in Iran. Storage conditions are at a temperature between -5 to +5 degrees Celsius. Bam Mazafati dates have a shiny black color with a moisty smooth skin that can be easily removed. Bam Mazafati dates are also very sappy.

Piarom is one of the most delicious dates that has global popularity. It has a thin skin with a dark brown color that looks like chocolate. Its sugar is fructose and it is easily digested. Piarom is considered to be the most famous agricultural product of Hormozgan. Piarom date, also known as the chocolate date, has many fans in domestic and foreign markets due to its dryness and long shelf life. This date has vitamins B1, B2, and minerals of calcium, potassium, phosphate, magnesium and, iron. Hajiabad is the only city capable of cultivating Piarom in Iran due to its hot and dry climate.

Rabi dates are categorized as semi-dry dates. Rabbi is a product of Sistan and Baluchestan province. This relatively large and fleshy date is one of the most famous types of dates produced in Sistan and Baluchestan province. This type of date has large fruit with a reddish-black color.

Rabbi dates have a shiny, clear and thin skin. Due to low humidity, rabbi dates have a high shelf life. This date has a wrinkled and elongated appearance.

This date is also known as Shawani, Shoni and Khorak and are most harvested in Heram groves. Shahani dates are soft, dry, very sweet and colorful. Shahani dates, like Mazafati dates, have a soft and moist texture. This type of date is light brown and is used to make sap. The cradle of planting Shahani date is in Fars province.

One of the most prestigious dates for export in Iran is Zahedi also known as Qasb dates. The shape of this type of date is elongated oval with a narrow and sharp end. The fruit turns from pale yellow to light brown and finally yellowish brown in its final stage. This date is classified as a dry date and is known to reach its ripeness late. One of the best and highest quality Zahedi dates are produced in Dashtestan city.
